Recently reports have leaked stating Red Dead Redemption has just received a brand new rating in South Korea, which has sparked some conversation on whether we will be getting a remake after all this time. There is no guarantee of a remake, but we can only hope that it can be true. Of course this is one of the more odd ways we’ve found out about a remake, but that doesn’t make it any less credible, especially with the regularity of leaks from this source.

What are the reasonings behind these Red Dead Redemption rumours?
At the current moment, there isn’t a lot of information in regards to Red Dead Redemption getting a remake, but South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has just updated the potential game’s rating.
This is a huge hint towards not only the existence of the remake, but also how close it may actually be to release. Of course nothing concrete has been announced by Rockstar, but they’ve recently taken the time to go through their back catalogue of games and taking the time to remake/remaster them. Fans have been clamouring for a Red Dead Redemption Remake for years, even before the sequel hit shelves, but with this recent development, it could be closer than we expected. With ratings for both the original Red Dead Redemption on PS3 and a brand new rating out of nowhere, it could lead to speculation that we are getting a brand new Red Dead Redemption Remake.
As of now, these rumours are not confirmed, but this isn’t the first time that a game has been leaked by South Korea’s Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) in this way, as they have also done this with a few other games in the past which have come out to be true, so even though it is not confirmed it does raise the suspicion that we will likely we will be getting a Red Dead Redemption Remake.
Currently, the only fear gamers will have is whether or not the remake/remaster will go well as Rockstar is not known for releasing remakes of their older games; for example, the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy. This wasn’t a very large success and was met with a rather uncertain response from gamers due to the half-finished quality that was sold at a premium price, so hopefully Rockstar have learnt their lesson from this and can ensure that Red Dead Redemption Remake will be a smash hit.
What do you think will happen with Red Dead Redemption? Will it get a remake, or will it sit in our memories for a long time to come? Only time will tell. Let us know in the comments what you think!
