Vincent D’Onofrio roasted actor Brian Cox for his ways of trying to be a better actor. The veteran actor, known for portraying roles in Troy and X2: X-Men United was talked back at by Marvel star Vincent D’Onofrio for criticizing Daniel Day-Lewis.

Day-Lewis, who was obsessed with method acting was criticized by the Succession actor which D’Onofrio clearly didn’t like. In reply to a news article, the Daredevil actor stated plainly that Brian Cox was confused and that Daniel Day-Lewis is a great actor that deserves the recognition of the world.

Vincent D’Onofrio Attacks Actor Brian Cox With His Words

The Daredevil actor recently talked about the intensity of method acting and an obsession with the procedure of getting into a role. Daniel Day-Lewis, known for his obsession with the art of method acting was recently criticized by the veteran actor Brian Cox.

Vincent D’Onofrio, the actor known for portraying the villainous role of Kingpin in the 2015 series Daredevil did not take kindly to the words. In the Twitter article that detailed Brian Cox’s words, the actor replied in kind to Cox with some hurtful words. D’Onofrio stated that Brian Cox had method acting confused with something else and that Daniel Day-Lewis is one of the greatest actors to ever exist out there.

“Brian Cox is confusing method acting with another technique for which I don’t think has a name. Daneil Day Lewis was a genius actor. Yet he was not a method actor. What Brian Cox describes & what some seem to define method acting as are far from correct. Read a book on it maybe”

This wasn’t the end of it however since The Magnificent Seven actor defended Day-Lewis from a lot more attackers that deemed his method to be a bit more extreme than normal method acting.

Being highly active on social media, the actor has often responded to fans who ask questions regarding his upcoming projects. When one of the fans asked a question to the Kingpin actor, D’Onofrio replied that the difference between the original Daredevil (2015-2018) and the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again is pretty strong and that there will be a lot of changes.

“It’s going to be very very cool. Very different than the Netflix show which was as we know was amazing. Yet this is brand new and really smart. We are going to surprise everyone with it. And yes it’s going to be really cool.”

As the people wait for Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox’s return in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, the actors continue to stay in the spotlight. The show which will ultimately tie up to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set for a release date of sometime in 2024.
