Ezra Miller’s The Flash is all set to release next with a blast. Hailed as one of the best superhero movies by multiple people, it is already expected to become one of the biggest movies of this year.
This came as a surprise to a lot of people initially, as after Miller’s constant public scandals over the past couple of years, people were expecting it to bomb tremendously.
In fact, the people who worked with Miller in the movie, namely Andy Muschietti and even Hollywood veteran Michael Shannon had only positive things to say about them.
Not only that, but the director also teased a possible sequel of the movie featuring none other than Ezra Miller if it does well at the box office.
This seems to have made fans of the Snyderverse angry as unlike Miller, the DC and Warner Bros. studios were quick to drop Ray Fisher when he complained about Joss Whedon’s unprofessional behavior on the set, which he claimed was enabled by a lot of executives.

Ray Fisher left DC after his messy public feud with them
Ray Fisher was cast as Cyborg, in Zach Snyder’s Justice League back in the day. However, after Snyder was replaced by Joss Whedon, he claimed a couple of years later after the movie’s release, that Whedon was, inappropriate, unprofessional, and downright abusive on the sets.
He never wanted to listen to anyone’s input and was often mocking, and condescending towards them. Not only Fisher, but allegedly Gal Gadot, and Jason Momoa, too, had problems with Whedon’s on-set behavior as well according to sources.
Fisher also name-dropped a few high-ranking executives of both DC studios and Warner Bros., who according to him enabled Whedon’s behavior on multiple occasions, even as Fisher asked them to intervene.
An investigation was conducted, but that too remained inconclusive. As a result, Ray Fisher had to leave the DC universe real quick, with no hopes of ever returning.
Now the announcement of a possible sequel of The Flash, where Miller will reportedly continue their role, seems to have reopened those old wounds.
Ray Fisher fans demand his return to DCU after Ezra Miller gets The Flash sequel
Ezra Miller had a disastrous past couple of years that often found them on the wrong side of law entanglements. Be it being caught on camera shoving a woman to the wall at the peak of the pandemic, allegations of public misconduct, even stalking, trespassing, robbery, and even grooming, the last few years had been anything but peaceful for them.
Although they publicly apologized in August last year, claiming they have finally realized that they have some deep-seated psychological issues and are seeking help for those, people expected The Flash to get complete review bombed.
However, ever since its first screening, people only had good things to say not only about the movie but also about Ezra Miller themselves. Andy Muschietti especially said that Miller was extremely professional and prepared during shooting.
And now, another one of his recent comments, where he claimed that he doesn’t think anybody could play Barry Allen better than Miller, seems to have ticked off a lot of fans. And unsurprisingly, they have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment.
It will be interesting to see if The Flash really performs as well as it is expected to, and if a sequel featuring Ezra Miller follows based on that success.
Moreover, it is also something only time can tell whether Ray Fisher will be willing to reprise Cyborg in DCU now after it went through a complete power overhaul that ended with the executives in question resigning. For now, though, Miller’s fans are excited to witness The Flash at the theaters when it releases next month.
The Flash hits the theaters on June 16th, 2023.
