Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the fittest actors out there in Hollywood. Having won the title of Mr. Olympia a whopping seven times, Schwarzenegger surely knows what to do and what not to do when it comes to the world of bodybuilding.
In his newsletter titled Arnold’s Pump Club, the actor decided to talk about some of the rumors and misconceptions about fish oil and protein that are very prevalent in exercise and maintaining physique. Dismissing the rumors, Schwarzenegger stated that fish oil doesn’t help much and protein does not shorten the lifespan of humans!
Arnold Schwarzenegger States Fish Oil Doesn’t Do Much
In his newsletter, the actor narrated the tale of fish oil and the various experimental research conducted on its impact on the human body. As per the speculations, fish oil helps in maintaining cardiovascular stability.
Well, Schwarzenegger is here to prove you wrong as in his newsletter, the actor gave experimental proof that the users who had taken fish oil and the users who hadn’t taken fish oil had almost the same cardiovascular activity. An excerpt from his newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club reads:
“Taking fish oil supplements might not provide the same cardiovascular health benefits as getting fish oil from whole foods. While research suggests that omega-3 fatty acids help fight cardiovascular disease, most studies focus on people who get healthy fats from food. But you don’t see the same boost when you look at research that uses fish oil supplements.”
The Terminator actor further continued,
“Eating two or more servings of fish per week helps fight cardiovascular disease, but the same can’t be said for taking a similar amount of fish oil pills.”
Well, this wasn’t the only thing that Arnold Schwarzenegger felt like correcting. Talking about the alleged hazards of protein intake in the body, Schwarzenegger went on to diss the so-called “gurus” for spreading false news.
