Although some of his takes have been mostly bizarre and as controversial as it gets, the brother to the former professional kickboxer recently showcased his support for Margot Robbie’s casting as Barbie.

With weeks away from hitting the big screens, the hype surrounding Barbie keeps on ascending, and the biggest draw for fans remains the Oscar-nominated actress Margot Robbie. But even though to most, the casting for a live-action Barbie couldn’t have gotten better, there remains her fair share of critics, claiming the Australian actress isn’t attractive enough for the part. And following the absurd nature of this complaint, it even forced Tristan Tate to come out and stand in support of Margot Robbie in his own typical fashion. The tweet stated,

Amy Schumer’s original Barbie film was scrapped due to creative differences
After witnessing several promotional materials for the upcoming Greta Gerwig film, it’s hard to imagine a better fit than Robbie for Barbie, thanks to her extreme beauty and exceptional acting skills. But like many cases, before The Suicide Squad star was finalized to star alongside Ryan Gosling, renowned comedian Amy Schumer was the original choice for the role.
Although the Trainwreck star didn’t disclose the details regarding the reasons behind her exit for years, the actress finally shed some light on the topic. Reflecting on the matter, the comedian reasoned creative differences as the prime factor behind her exit from the lead, resulting in the scrapping of the original Diablo Cody-led Barbie. According to Cody, she didn’t have the freedom to write something faithful to the iconography, as Schumer wanted to shift from the character’s roots and give her a girl-boss feminist touch, eventually leading to the scrapping of it.
Considering it was way back in 2014, the scrapping of the original project turned out a blessing, as the Greta Gerwig-led project has become one of the most anticipated movies of this year.
Barbie will hit theatres on 21 July 2023.
