Recalling the moments where fans have confused Robbie for Emma Mackey, the Suicide Squad actress stated that she doesn’t correct people but just accepts the compliment, says thank you, and moves on.
“When people come up and say, ‘I loved you in Sex Education!’ I just say ‘Thank you so much.’”
Referencing Emma Mackey, the actress revealed that she indeed got a chance to work with the Sex Education actress. The two worked on the sets of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming movie Barbie and they had a fun time.

In an interview, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling sat down with cute little puppies to talk about their upcoming movie Barbie. Talking about her work experience with Emma Mackey, the actress revealed that she had quite a fun time with the Sex Education actress on set and that they planned a running gag for quite a long time.
“I’ve been getting told for years that I look like the girl from Sex Education who is Emma Mackey. And she plays one of the Barbies in the movie pretty much because Greta and I thought it would be funny”
She further continued,
“We were gonna do this whole joke about us looking similar…did you know this? Once we got all dressed up as our Barbies we were kind of like…we don’t look that similar. When she’s got her brown hair and I’ve got my blonde hair”
With similar faces and pink dresses, Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey are all set to star in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie is all set to release on 21st July 2023 in theaters across the world. As for Emma Mackey’s Sex Education, the series is available to stream on Netflix.
