However, as everyone is aware, there is no Devil Fruit user in the highly esteemed Red-Haired Pirate crew. Even the former pirate king Gol D. Roger lacks Devil Fruit abilities. How do they attain such potency in the One Piece Universe?

Indeed, the answer lies in their mastery of Haki. In the One Piece world, Haki is a mysterious and powerful life force that exists within every living being. It isn’t hitched to the utilization of Devil Fruits or any particular supernatural skill. Instead, Haki is a fundamental power that can be developed and improved through training and experience.

However, not everyone recognizes their potential to use Haki. Haki is extremely tough to master, and only the strongest humans, who have tremendous willpower, succeed in awakening Haki and using it. Despite its seemingly straightforward nature, mastering Haki is an exceptionally formidable task, requiring arduous training and dedication.

Haki grants its user a multitude of skills and abilities to employ in combat, including the capacity to fortify their physique, detect the presence of others, and many other abilities.

Different Types of Haki in the One Piece World:

There are three fundamental forms of Haki: Kenbunshoku Haki (Observation Haki), Busoshoku Haki (Armament Haki), and Haoshoku Haki (Conqueror’s Haki).

These three primary forms of Haki were subtly hinted at in the anime before they were officially introduced (even though it wasn’t mentioned in the manga).

In One Piece episode 85, in a flashback between Dr. Hiriluk and Chopper, Hiriluk described pirates having large and well-trained bodies (Armament Haki), eyes like an eagle (Observation Haki), and their voices like thunder splitting the sky (Conqueror’s Haki).

Observation Haki or “Color of Observation Haki” equips the user with a range of abilities for sensing and understanding their surroundings. Certainly, users who have mastered Observation Haki can sense the presence of people nearby, including their spirits. Additionally, they have the remarkable ability to predict and avoid their opponent’s movements in battle.

The advanced observation haki powers include Future Sight, Emotion Sensing, Voice Hearing, and The Voice of All Things.

Armament Haki (Busoshoku Haki)

Armament Haki allows the user to create a protective armor-like layer in their body and can also be applied to their weapons to enhance their attack strength. This means that Armament Haki can be utilized to shield specific parts of the user’s body or their entire body, as well as to empower their weapons.

The advanced forms of Armament Haki include Devil Fruit Armament, Armament Flow, and Internal Destruction (Ryuo).

Conqueror’s Haki (Haoshoku Haki)

Conqueror’s Haki provides users the ability to harness their inner strength to overwhelm the willpower of others, essentially paralyzing their adversaries. Individuals with less willpower may lose consciousness.

Advanced manifestations of Conqueror’s Haki encompass Conqueror’s Coating, Hidden Presence, and the blending of Conqueror’s Coating with other techniques.
