As the Wano Country Arc of the anime draws to its climax, One Piece is seeing the peak of its fandom right now. With iconic villains, Yonko Battles, The alliance of the Great 3 pirates from the Worst Generation, and its most spectacular fights, the Wano Country Arc of One Piece was a complete package and has got the fandom hyped more than ever. At the end of last week’s episode, Monkey D. Luffy’s Gear 5 whose arrival in the anime is being anticipated for almost a year now was also teased in the anime and the fans couldn’t be any more hyped.
So in order to continue the hype train for the upcoming One Piece episode, today we will look at the 7 Strongest Conqueror Haki users in the series so far.
7. Kozuki Oden
Showed for the first time in the flashbacks of the Wano Country arc, Kozuki Oden was one of the strongest samurai in the history of Wano and was shown to have possessed all three kinds of Haki. Oden’s specialty was the Ryou or also better known as Advanced Armament Haki which Monkey D. Luffy learned with the help of Hyogoro in the Wano Country arc. The samurai was even able to injure Kaido using Ryuo and was only defeated because he was falsely led into believing that his son was being attacked.
Although not many details are given about the usage of Conqueror Haki by Kozuki Oden in One Piece, he was still one of the strongest Haki users of the series.
6. Big Mom
Hailed as one of the Great Four emperors of the Sea, Big Mom also possessed all three kinds of Haki including Conqueror’s Haki. In the Wano Country arc, she was able to hold her own against Captain Eustass Kid and Law which showed the high control of Haki that she possess and her awareness to use Conqueror’s Haki effectively.
5. Monkey D. Luffy
Yes, you read it right, Monkey D. Luffy the main character and protagonist of One Piece is only 5th on this list. Luffy managed to hold his own against Kaido aka the Strongest Creature of the Planet. During his fight against Kaido, Luffy learned how to infuse his attacks with the Conqueror’s Haki which made him an even bigger threat to the world government.
When the tide of the battle turned against Kaido, even he acknowledged Luffy’s strength and began to wonder how this teenager is managing to go toe to toe against him and compared him to the strongest characters of the series
4. Kaido
Kaido, one of the Great Four Emperors of the Sea is one of the strongest Conqueror Haki users in the series. In the final battle which took place on the roof of Onigashima in the Wano Country Arc, Kaido was able to hold his own against tides of enemies and was able to defeat each and every one of them(Except Luffy in round 2 of course which fight is still going on) while navigating a whole island with his brute strength alone. Despite such a long fight, he gave a hard time to many enemies which makes him the 4th strongest Conqueror Haki user of the series.
3. Shanks
[Spoiler Alert: To showcase the Conqueror Haki’s feats of Shanks, there are some spoilers here from the Manga which has not been animated as of yet, so proceed at your own risk. ]
Shanks is one of the most powerful Conqueror Haki users in the series and the levels of his strength were recently showcased in the manga.
After the end of the final battle of the Wano Country Arc, admiral Ryokugyu aka Green Bull infiltrated Wano to defeat the recovering Straw Hat Pirates and recover Luffy’s devil fruit for the world government. However, as he entered Wano, Shanks used an intense Conqueror Haki attack which no one has ever seen in the history of One Piece before. Shanks used the Conqueror’s Haki from his ship to the mainland of Wano and was able to knock out Ryokugyu before he ever reached Luffy and the others.
Knocking out with normal soldiers with Conqueror’s Haki is quite a normal feat but knocking out an admiral with Conqueror’s Haki? That’s a whole other level.
2. Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard
The captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard is the 2nd strongest Conqueror Haki user of the series. The man who was considered as strong as the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger himself, had immense haki and showcased all three types of Haki throughout the series. Although Whitebeard died a heroic death at the War of Marineford, his strength alone was enough to make the whole Navy tremble with fear, and even the full force of the Navy with their 3 admirals and 7 Shichibukai pirates almost fell short to prevent the Strongest Person on Earth from reaching his objective of rescuing Portgas D. Ace.

1. Gol D. Roger
The strongest Conqueror Haki user and arguably also the strongest character of One Piece, the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger was efficient in all 3 types of Haki including Conqueror’s Haki. The only man who was able to go toe to toe against Roger was his longtime rival Whitebeard. During the flashback scenes in Wano Country Arc, we are shown an immense battle between Roger and Whitebeard showcasing how strong both the characters were.
Even when Kaido was wondering if Luffy has gotten strong enough, the silhouette of Roger, Whitebeard, Shanks, and a few other pirates were shown in the background detailing how much stronger these characters were than Kaido himself.
The highly anticipated Luffy’s Gear 5 episode of One Piece is all set to be released later this week on Sunday.
