One Piece, the best-selling manga ever, contains some of the most loved characters in the anime industry. Characters like Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Nami often are shown as the face of the series, and rightfully so.

7. Akainu
Akainu is one of the most hated characters in the whole series, and that is due to justified and valid reasons. He is the current fleet admiral of the Marines and is responsible for the death of many beloved characters like Whitebeard and most importantly, Ace.
6. BlackBeard
Another one of the most despicable characters in the whole of One Piece. He is the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and will go to any length just to achieve his goal. He is also the only one known to survive after eating two devil fruits, something which is not possible.
5. Charlos
Charlos is one of the celestial dragons and is known to be an entitled person. Everybody hates him because he has been shown to treat others like they are inferior to him and mean nothing.
4. Squard
Squard is often considered one of the major contributors to Whitebeard’s death. He is the captain of Maelstrom Spider Pirates and was an ally to Whitebeard pirates during the Marineford arc, however, he turned on the Yonko after Akainu convinced him that the Yonko was going to sacrifice his whole family just to save Ace.

3. Spandam
Spandam is one of the characters in the series that can never be forgiven. He is the one that kidnapped Nico Robin, one of the straw hat pirates and physically and mentally tortured her because she was the only one who could have led him to revive an ancient weapon, which would give him a promotion in the ranks of the World Government.
2. Arlong
Arlong was considerably one of the early villains in the series and is shown to be somewhat racist. He believes that the fisherman species is far superior to the human one, and while he already was defeated once, many fans would love to see him once again before the series end just because he can be defeated again for his racist beliefs.
1. Sterry
Sterry is the king of the Goa kingdom and has been occasionally shown to support anything wrong and immoral happenings in the One Piece world. He also leads with the same belief that others are inferior to him, causing the audience to hate him.
One Piece is a vast anime, and it is natural for it to have some unpopular characters who are going to be disliked by the audience for their beliefs as well as their actions.
