According to a new rumor, Disney is considering another actress in mind for the main role in Disney’s long-rumored Tangled remake, and it’s not Amanda Seyfried or Emma Stone. Earlier, Twitter wanted Amanda Seyfried and Emma Stone to play Tangled characters Rapunzel. But, it appears that Disney has its eyes on someone else.

2010 saw the release of Tangled, a Disney adaptation of the classic fairy tale of Rapunzel, a long-haired princess with magical hair who longs to leave the secluded tower where she was raised, having been shielded from the outside world. Since its first release, the animated adventure’s popularity has only grown, and Rapunzel has become one of Disney’s most adored and recognizable Princesses.

The New Rumored Face to Play Rapunzel in the Live-action Version of Tangled

Following the announcement that Tangled will have a live-action adaptation, many have expressed their opinions about the ideal candidates for the leading roles. Although the studio’s reworking of the well-known Rapunzel tale is only a little over a decade old, its fame has grown and the movie continues to win over new audiences.

Although there haven’t been any formal casting announcements, it’s been reported that Disney is interested in Black Widow star Florence Pugh for the live-action Tangled.

Disney hasn’t confirmed the claim, but it’s already causing a stir on social media as the rumors spread online. It’s unknown how far along the Tangled remake is in development right now or if Pugh has had any formal discussions about the potential with Disney prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

But if Pugh does get the role, it will be interesting to see who plays Flynn Rider opposite of her.

Who Could Be Playing Flynn Rider?

While the production’s details are currently under wraps, fans are anxiously speculating about the project’s potential cast members and the director who might oversee it.

The endearing animated movie, with Mandy Moore voicing the lead as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider, a dashing bad boy with a good heart real name Eugene Fitzherbert.

Fans had envisioned who would portray Flynn Rider in real life long before the Disney live-action remakes even a talk, but now that they are actually happening, everyone is hopeful that their fan-favorite will be cast.

Although there haven’t been any formal casting announcements yet, fans have already begun to suggest a number of celebrities for the roles. While Tom Holland‘s name has also been mentioned, some have suggested that Harry Styles, who was considered for the role of Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, should get the chance to play Flynn. However, the actor from Spider-Man: No Way Home isn’t really on board.

In an interview with Roman Kemp on Capital Breakfast, in August 2020, Holland revealed, “I really like that film. There are a lot of these live-action versions of animated films that I loved as a kid, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know if we need them.”

People are really excited about the reported live-action adaptation of Rapunzel.
