Actress and stand-up comedian Tiffany Haddish has starred with several top-notch stars from Hollywood over the years. Renowned for her breathtaking acting skills in comedy blockbusters like Girls Trip, she never ceases to amuse her audience. And though the Ghost Rider actor is quite used to stories like these stemming from other actors who have grown up watching him, Haddish’s story was a bit too extraordinary which not only had him bursting with laughter but also ended up building a good friendship with the pair!

Tiffany Haddish is a remarkable comedian, pleasing everyone everywhere she goes. Naturally, her humor isn’t limited to the big screens either: she has managed to make audiences laugh with her hilarious stories shared in interviews as well.

Just like this one time, when she appeared on the Late Night with Seth Meyers show to share how she had an intimate experience with Nicolas Cage before even meeting him. Confessing the story from when she was still a teenager, she said,

“What had happened was, when I was 17, I had went on a date to the movies, right? And it was my first time experiencing a climax in a movie theater. So what had happened was, it was just me and this guy in the theater, right? So we went to the late showing of “Face/Off,” and then, you know, you be in there making out and stuff. And then, when I opened my eyes, Nicolas Cage eyes was looking into my eyes.”

Judging from Face/Off‘s genre, this experience mustn’t have been too pleasurable for Haddish. Regardless, it has stayed with her ever since, and that’s where the problem stood: she couldn’t act properly in front of the National Treasure star when she first met him in real life because of this incident!

This Intimate Experience Messed Up With Tiffany Haddish’s Performance Real Bad

Over two decades later, Tiffany Haddish found herself in an awkward position: she had been cast in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent in 2022 to star alongside Nic Cage – the same person who kept on appearing before her eyes every time she had them closed! Sharing her first experience of meeting him in real life, she told Seth Meyers,

“So when I meet Nicolas Cage, you know, I get there first day of work, and I’m looking at him in his eyes… and the 17-year-old me is like, ‘Tell him, tell him!’ And I’m like, ‘No, shut up, b–ch! You can’t tell him now! It’s inappropriate! We at work!'”

But not sharing it made everything even worse for her. Her acting was super bad and kept on deteriorating with each new take. Realizing she couldn’t take it anymore, she mustered up enough courage to finally get it off her chest and tell the story to Nicolas Cage.

“Finally, after about three hours of being horrible, I was like, ‘Look, I have to tell you this story, or I’m not gonna be able to — y’all gonna fire me.’ And I said, ‘It’s a very inappropriate story, but please let me tell you.’ And I told him, and he laughed so hard. And then he told me a story about how his first wife saw him in a movie and said, ‘That’s gonna be my husband,’ and he ended up marrying her. And I said, ‘Well, I’m gonna let you know right now, you won’t be fiddling any of these beans over here.’ And we [have] been good friends ever since.”

Thankfully, Cage wasn’t one to mind stuff like this and both Haddish and him ended up good friends with terrific chemistry in their movie together, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.
