Nick Offerman finally got the spotlight on his career after starring in the HBO drama series The Last of Us. Sharing screen alongside Pedro Pascal and Anna Torv in episode 3 of the series, the actor found fame and future roles in his professional career.
Talking about a Netflix series that seemed to turn people’s heads, The Umbrella Academy has been slated for a fourth season. In recent rumors-turned-news, Nick Offerman along with Megan Mullally is joining the cast of the Netflix series.
Nick Offerman Teaming Up With Netflix After HBO Show
With an episode that showcased true love, The Last of Us premiered its third episode titled Long, Long Time. The episode premiered with a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes while facing a beautiful love story between Nick Offerman’s Bill and Murray Bartlett Frank. With a romantic love story set against the backdrop of a zombie apocalypse, the series made the spotlight on his acting skills.
With some acting roles in series like Parks and Recreation and Devs, Nick Offerman did not have quite a professional acting role that explored his versatility throughout the years. In a wave of joy, the actors Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally announced the big news that they were joining the Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy.
The couple will reportedly play “a mild-mannered married couple named Jean and Gene, who are college professors. I mean, the deal’s not quite closed but let’s just pretend it is,” she said, revealing they start filming “in a couple of weeks.”
Megan Mullally, who has been married to the Devs actor since 2003 talked that she had to convince Offerman to take the role before final consideration.
Nick Offerman Wasn’t Sure About Taking The Role of Bill
In the interview with ET Online Megan Mullally revealed that Nick Offerman wasn’t sure about taking up the role. It was her that finally made him consider the offer seriously and the product of beauty and acting that the world saw was truly mesmerizing to witness.
“I had to convince [him] not because he didn’t love the script but because he was so busy. And I said, ‘Well let me read it and I’ll tell you whether or not you’re gonna do it,'” Mullally recalled. “I read it and I was like, ‘You’re doing it.'”
Following Offerman’s debut in The Last of Us Nick Offerman found praise for his acting skills and the deep portrayal of emotions that he showcased in the episode. The Last of Us will have its episode on 26th February available on HBO Max while there has been no official confirmation date for Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy.
