Hugh Jackman is one of our favorite actors and there’s no sentence good enough to explain why. He has, on multiple occasions, pulled the string of our hearts through his exceptional talent on screen. Therefore, when he once in the past talked about having skin cancer, his fans were rightfully worried.
While he was able to get through those days and had his cancer removed, Hugh Jackman recently had another scare just a few days ago. Taking to his social media to talk to his fans, Hugh Jackman, with a bandaid on his nose, stated that he had two biopsies done for cancer. He added that he will be getting the results in just a few days. Well, the time has come, and here are the results of Hugh Jackman’s biopsies.

Just a few days ago, Hugh Jackman filmed a video talking to his fans about his most recent cancer scare. Jackman previously had run-ins with skin cancer; basal cell carcinoma to be more precise. Now, according to healthcare experts, basal cell carcinoma is the least dangerous and most common kind of skin cancer. However, you definitely cannot take it lightly as it is quite prone to recurrence.
In his video, Jackman acknowledged the band-aid on his nose and stated that he had “two biopsies done. I just went to my doctor…and she just saw little things, could be or could not be basal cell in her opinion. I’ll find out in two or three days and as soon as I find out I’ll let you know.” He then reassured his fans about basal cell carcinoma being the least dangerous type of skin cancer. However, he urged everyone to not take sunscreen for granted.
And now for the moment of truth. Jackman took to his Instagram to share the results of his biopsies. He wrote in his story, “MY BIOPSIES CAME BACK NEGATIVE!!!” He added, “Thank you ALL for the love. I feel it! And to the media for helping get this very important message out.”
In the end, he once again requested the people watching his story to wear sunscreen with a high level of SPF. Jackman wrote, “PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR A SUNSCREEN WITH HIGH LEVEL OF SPF (NO MATTER THE SEASON) Love. HJ.”
Dermatologists recommend using sunscreen with a high level of SPF on your face. According to Cynthia Bailey, MD, a board-certified dermatologist, people should use broad-spectrum sunscreen with a minimum of 30 SPF.
Hugh Jackman Thought his Cancer was a Fight Mark
This isn’t the first time Jackman had a run-in with cancer. Back in 2013, the Logan actor was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma. He told PEOPLE that it’s “Always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer.’” He added that despite being an Australian, he never wore sunscreen growing up, which he regrets.
The first time Jackman saw a spot on his nose, he thought it was simply the aftermath of one of his fight scenes from X-Men: Days of Future Past. When his makeup artist pointed it out, he stated, “Yeah, I know it was from a fight sequence and I knocked it somehow.” A week later, the spot wasn’t disappearing on its own and thus, his makeup artist pointed it out again.
This time Jackman stated that he might have rubbed it off in the shower after it dried up. Next week, the makeup artist told Jackman that he should get it checked. After his wife, Deborah-Lee Furness urged him, again and again, to get it checked, he finally paid a visit to the doctor and was diagnosed. Jackman had his first skin cancer removed in 2013. Ever since his diagnosis, he has been an advocate for the use of sunscreen.
