The countdown clock for the release of Mortal Kombat 1 continues to tick and fans of the franchise want to speed it up to jump into epic and increasingly bloody combat.
But before the official launch for PC and consoles, early access will be released for those most eager to get their hands on NetherRealm’s new title (and the guts of their enemies). If you want to know more details, times and how to enter, you’re in the right place.
How, When, And What, Is The Mortal Kombat 1 Early Access?
Mortal Kombat 1, the restart of the fighting game franchise is getting closer and will maintain a roster of most classic characters like Raiden and Sub-Zero, to the most obscure fighters in the franchise like Nitara (voiced by Megan Fox).
And if you’re one of those gamers excited to play this revitalization soon, stay tuned, because the times and ways to enter early access have arrived. Whether you’re using Liu Kang, Sonya Blade or Kano, players with early access to Mortal Kombat 1 will be able to enjoy the exciting fights 5 days earlier, on September 14, 2023, at exactly 5pm at UTC.

No matter where you are located, you will be able to dive into Mortal Kombat 1 early access which, unlike others, is right after the PC versions have been unlocked. The time zones are indeed difficult to follow, but don’t worry, check the conversion for your area and be ready for everything NetherRealm has in store for you.
However, if you weren’t so excited to guarantee Mortal Kombat 1‘s Premium Edition at full price, the waiting time to be added is another 5 days, and then you can start to cause some fatalities on September 19, 2023, at 4 AM UTC. This advance of a few days is guaranteed by purchasing the Premium Edition of the game, despite being a much criticized strategy by NetherRealm supporters.

Some long-time fans have been complaining for a long time about this tactic of charging a much higher price than is already very expensive (in the case of Mortal Kombat 1, US $40 more).
They say the premium elements could, and should, already be in the basic version of the game. Evidencing that these bonuses, such as 5 days in advance, additional fighters, skins, or digital currencies, are separated only to make those most weakened by the hype and therefore easily exploitable.
One way or another, whoever was aware of this and still bought it, will be able to enjoy fights with Shang Tsung, Omni-Man, Quan Chi, Peacemaker, Ermac, Homelander, Takeda, Tremor, Mavado, Ferra, Khameleon and Johnny Cage (with a special skin by Jean-Claude Van Damme) a few days in advance.
