Activision Acknowledges Latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Leak – Validating Everyone’s Thoughts
The subject of the yearly release for Call of Duty is always an interesting one, but between secret alpha tests, loose-mouthed executives, and now an energy-drinking leaking promotional materials, it’s less interesting and more ‘Well when are they going to officially announce it?’.

🚨 BREAKING: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III Logo Leaked
The leaked art reveals a traditional and red logo but mainly shows the beloved by the fans protagonist Captain Price and who some eagled-eyed and speculative assume it’s the villain Vladimir Makarov.
Already known to the players Makarov is considered the main villain of the Modern Warfare saga and he is climbing ranks on the universe, being previously a secondary villain in Modern Warfare 2, and now will become the threat that will haunt Captain Price in his missions.
After feeling flat for the first time, it will be interesting to see how the game will grab the opportunity to contextualize Vladimir being the leader of a Russian Ultranationalist organization considering actual conflicts in our real-world conflicts.
Later, what guaranteed the leak and called the fans’ attention was the official Twitter account of the game acknowledging the pictures with the playful phrase: “Whew. Mondays. Anyone has an energy drink they can spare?”.
The post is a common strategy used by companies when its content leaks instead of denying or ignoring it because at least, it creates some hype on the future project.
Although the decision of reviving the fan-favorite series that is MW, some fans are complaining about the missing originality in the franchise, not only about gameplay but also on the stories and the setting. Probably it will be some time to see if Activion is going to jump to some original ideas or keep the guaranteed path, what’s secure but could be boring considering long term players that can jump off the Call of Duty boat.
The yet not announced entry on the series is reportedly being developed by Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s Sledgehammer Games and it’s a sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare 2 that will it carries maps, modes, operators, weapons, and bundles.
Teasers for Modern Warfare 3 are expected in early August. during the announcement of Season 5 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, so official confirmation isn’t far away, although, at this point, it’s becoming the worst-kept secret in gaming.
