In her Instagram announcement introducing the novel, Millie Bobby Brown shared details about Nineteen Steps. The book delves into the historical narrative of Nellie Morris, a remarkable and brave 18-year-old residing with her family in Bethnal Green, located in London’s East End. The backdrop is the tumultuous period of the Second World War engulfing their surroundings.
“Nineteen Steps is a historical novel about an amazing, courageous 18-year-old woman called Nellie Morris, who lives with her family in Bethnal Green, in London’s East End, while the Second World War rages on around them. When a tragic accident occurs during an air raid one night, the consequences are catastrophic – and life will never be the same again for Nellie.”
In a blog entry, Kathleen McGurl, the author, affirmed her partnership with Millie Bobby Brown on the novel. She mentioned that she received an extensive collection of research materials curated by Millie and her family, along with numerous creative concepts, and the two engaged in a series of virtual meetings via Zoom.
“And then I knuckled down and wrote the first draft, while Millie continued sending more ideas via WhatsApp. The book went through several drafts since then, as we refined the story.”
McGurl has authored various historical novels, such as “The Storm Girl” and “The Girl With The Emerald Flag.” Global readers can anticipate the novel’s worldwide release scheduled for September 12, 2023.

Milli Bobby Brown Was Once A Flat Earther
During a lie detector test, the most contentious query posed to Millie Bobby Brown revolved around a TikTok clip she shared in her youth. In this video, she asserted her affiliation with the flat-earth community, a group of conspiracy theorists convinced that the Earth is not spherical. When questioned about her belief in this conspiracy theory, her response was as follows:
