Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is coming out later this year, on the 20th of October, and fans have been waiting impatiently for it. Marvel’s Spider-Man was a huge hit when it launched back in 2018, along with a spin-off titled Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales which came out in 2020 and also did quite well. The upcoming sequel is also set to feature a host of new antagonists including the Venom and Kraven the Hunter, both of whom haven’t been seen in a modern game before.
As much as fans feel excited to check out all the new features, some of the new and unique features coming to the game have got fans pointing out that they have seen them on older games already.
Notable New Features Coming in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Web wings will assist the two superheroes in swinging and gliding around Brooklyn and Queens in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Another new feature is switching between both heroes will be almost instant. The game will also feature over 65 suits for both superheroes, and one of the features from the suits has got fans sharing where they’ve seen the same feature before.

Superhero games have always had a feature where the suits reflect the damage taken during a battle, as they disappear at a later stage, or in some cases, they remain throughout the game as was the case in the Arkham trilogy games. So, when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was said to have a very similar feature in the game, fans were quick to compare the version from older games.

Gamers who follow Blitzwinger replied with their opinion and mentioned the other games that had a very similar option. Some of them wanted the game to have an option to at least keep the scars on.

Fans are about as divided as they can be about being happy and confused with the battle scars appearing and then magically disappearing right after the battle or the mission is completed. Many believe having the option to keep the scruffs on the suits will keep things close to being more realistic, while others wanted more visible damage to the suits.
Battle scars remaining on the suits till the end of the game was something fans loved about the Arkham games, as the Bat Suit kept getting torn over time. Switching suits did give players an option to get new clean suits to play with, but switching back to old suits still showed the suits with any damage from earlier encounters.
