Marvel Theory: Kang Let Iron Man Discover Time Travel Because He Needs the Avengers Alive to Kill All His Variants in the Kang Dynasty

The Marvel Multiverse is one huge mess of a universe to live in. With time travel and superheroes abound, the world often ends up becoming confusing for the people as well as us audience. A new theory now states that Kang the Conqueror spared Iron Man and the Avengers so that they can kill his evil variants while Kang sets his plan of conquering in motion.

There have been numerous variants and variations of Kang throughout the MCU.  One of the variants that gave a glimpse of “He Who Remains”. Stating that he is a time traveler from the 31st century who created the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to prevent the evil variants of himself to destroy the timeline.

Therefore, Kang allowed the Avengers to go back in time, kill Thanos, and return back to their respective timelines all the while returning the Infinity Stones. The theory states that Kang the Conqueror let Iron Man and the Avengers live so that they can eventually kill all the evil variants of Kang, essentially paving the way for him to conquer the world.

There has been much discussion about who the villain will be in the concluding movie of Avengers: Secret Wars. The most probable nominees are Doctor Doom or Galactus. Although one would not be surprised if Kang the Conqueror makes a surprising return in the upcoming Avengers movie. It is fairly logical to assume that Avengers: Kang Dynasty would likely see the end of the villain but considering the style of Marvel, anything can happen in this multiverse of madness.

Avengers: Kang Dynasty will be released on May 2, 2025, in theaters worldwide while Avengers: Secret Wars will be released on 7th November 2025 and will mark the end of the Multiverse Saga of the MCU.
