Ever since he landed his coveted contract with Marvel as Captain America, Chris Evans’ performance as the celebrated Marvel superhero has augmented his fame and superstardom multifold. Beginning his MCU journey in 2011 with Captain America: The First Avenger, Evans, along with Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr, has played an integral part in developing the narratives of the MCU over multiple phases.
It seems that the seeds of Chris Evans’s larger-than-life image were sown early in his childhood days. But so was his comedic side. The Gray Man star once spoke candidly about the first time he had s*x and the funny way in which he announced it to his family.
The Time When Chris Evans Lost His Virginity
Movie stars are widely considered inaccessible to the general public due to the aura of fame surrounding them. In reality, many of their personal lives are as simple and basic as the next person, including childhood memories, teenage crushes, and the like. MCU star Chris Evans once went down memory lane to recall the time he lost his virginity at age 17. Appearing on Late Night with Seth Myers in 2017, the Avengers star spoke about the event and the hilarious way in which he broke the news to his family.
“My whole family is just — we’re very open with a lot of things. I raced home, and I said, ‘I did it! I don’t know what I was doing, but I did it!’”
Evans’ MCU co-star Sebastian Stan too had a similar story to share in which he and his high school girlfriend both aged 17, rented a hotel room to have s*x for the first time.
These Are Chris Evans’ Favorite Films
Marvel star Chris Evans has regaled audiences with his portrayal of Captain America in the MCU films. Having starred in the lead role in 3 solo films based on the superhero, Evans went on to become an important part of the Avengers franchise which made huge money at the box office. When asked about which of the films in the MCU appealed to him the most, Evans chose 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier as his favorite among a few other films that were close to his heart.
“I did a movie called Sunshine a long time ago. That was really good, that I enjoyed, with Danny Boyle. And I really like Snowpiercer and look, I got a lot of love for the Marvel world, so Winter Soldier was something to me that I really was like, ‘Wow, that’s exactly how I wanted that to go.’ So, maybe Winter Soldier.”
In Sunshine, Evans plays an engineer working aboard a spaceship in near-future Earth where a team of astronauts attempts to jump-start the sun to save the planet from freezing. While the film was not as successful as his MCU adventures, it earned Evans a lot of credibility as an actor. In Snowpiercer, the celebrity is part of a survivor group of Earth’s second ice age who struggle to live their days on a luxury train plugging through snow and ice. The action-thriller is one of Evans’ more highly praised projects.
