Climbing the Ladder: What Is Marvel Snap’s New Conquest Mode?

Marvel Snap Conquest Ladder Tier

Although Marvel Snap has had a “rank” system from day one, (that allows players to earn exclusive rewards by hitting levelled milestones), the competitive mode looks to bring something different to the game. Conquest mode also seems to be in line with more of the standard competitive ladder system present in other digital card games.

Players start in what’s called the ‘Proving Grounds’, with wins at this level earning a “silver ticket” that they can use to enter the next section; the silver tier. Winning more games at the silver stage then grants players a “gold ticket”. This allows them to move up the ladder until they reach the final infinite rank. However, unlike most competitive ladder game modes there is a twist; A single loss will end a player’s climb.

Although wiping the slate clean with a rank reset after a loss may discourage some, as players win games, they will also be awarded special “medals”. These medals can then be used to purchase items from a special in-game shop, giving a reason for players to jump back into Conquest mode.

Participation in Conquest mode also doesn’t impact your overall season rank, so you can use it to test out new decks worry-free. There are also multiple ways to obtain Conquest tickets, as they can be either earned through normal play or purchased with Marvel Snap’s premium gold currency.
