Marvel Reveals Daredevil’s Biggest Weakness, Even Ordinary Humans Can Use It Against Him

Daredevil is undoubtedly one of the most striking and special Marvel Comics heroes. His skill set is quite impressive, but just like any hero, there’s a weakness for every strength. It seems that Daredevil’s disadvantage is too common.

Matt Murdock a.k.a. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen

The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen fought a villain in Daredevil #25 comic issue who shares the same powers as his. This foe is visually-impaired, too, and Matt Murdock seemed to learn the truth about his own weakness by trying to outdo this opponent.

Murdock’s heightened senses are his best asset; this helps him navigate the world and identify the locations of his enemies. He uses echolocation skills and radar sensors to detect movements, and he is so good at it that sometimes his friends doubt if he’s actually blind or not.

Daredevil’s Greatest Weakness Is So Common

Daredevil Ikari Comics
Daredevil and Ikari

In Daredevil #25, created by Mark Waid, Chris Samnee, Javier Rodriguez, and VC’s Joe Caramagna, Murdock confronts a villain named Ikari who is blind and has heightened senses, too. Thinking it would block the enemy’s radar, Murdock lit a match and set the sprinkler alarm. When the water showered down, it muffled Murdock’s senses, rendering his radar useless. Ikari, unharmed and unbothered by the sprinkler, got Murdock and beat him to death.

The sprinkler system blocked off all of Murdock’s senses, making it difficult for him to locate his opponent, and it also caused difficulties on his end, hence him wishing not to black out. Now, it is finally revealed that excessive sound frequency from water negates Murdock’s powers. Anyone who can set the sprinkler alarm can easily beat the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen!

Marvel's Daredevil

This is only one of Daredevil’s weaknesses, but it does not mean it is the only way to defeat a hero as clever and resourceful as Murdock.
