As Ant-Man 3 has almost made its way to the big screens, the hype around the movie has been significantly high. Not only the fans are busy theorizing about various possibilities but even Kevin Feige gave out some important details about the movie. Undoubtedly, the president of Marvel Studios has revealed one of the core elements of the upcoming movie. It seems that the start of Phase 5 of the MCU will be on an electrifying note after the lackluster fourth Phase.
Ant-Man 3 titled Quantumania marks the full-fledged debut of Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. While we have seen one of his variants earlier in Loki, the upcoming version won’t be any close to that. If the words of Kevin Feige are to be believed, then the threequel might be the last ride for the Paul Rudd character.

What did Kevin Feige say about Ant-Man 3?
Speaking to Empire Magazine, the Marvel mastermind stated his opinion on why Kang earned the spot for the new Big Bad in the MCU. The next big baddie of The Multiverse Saga deserves to be an unstoppable force following Thanos. As of now, the time-traveling tyrant looks like a good successor to the Mad Titan. Kevin Feige’s statements further add more substance to it.
According to Feige, Kang is the “obvious choice” for the vast Multiversal drama that’s going to unfold. He is also praised to be a very different antagonist than what we have watched till now.
“He is the obvious choice as you’re dealing with the Multiverse. Kang allowed us to do a new kind of Big Bad. He’s a different type of villain, warring amongst themselves as much as he’s warring with our heroes.”
Kevin Feige revealed a major portion of Ant-Man 3 by stating more facts about the intention of the Jonathan Majors character in the movie. He shed light on how Kang will need Scott Lang and his family’s help to find the power source for his time-traveling device. Moreover, it was also reported that this is going to be a heist movie. To achieve his full potential, Kang is expected to go to any extent.
“Kang’s a very powerful person, but when we meet him he’s in a position where he needs to get that power back. He has a ship and a device that would allow him to go anywhere, and anywhen he wants if he can get it online. If only he had access to genius scientists with Pym particles.”
Although Feige didn’t mention the fate of any character in his statements after the recent trailer and through various theories, the Paul Rudd character’s death seems to be quite a possibility.
Ant-Man 3 looks like a promising Phase 5 pilot
Never before any Ant-Man movie have raised such hype as the upcoming part. From the trailer, it can be deduced that a helpless Scott Lang will play a major role in helping Kang achieve his powers. Several reactions also show how the fans have high hopes for the Peyton Reed directorial. Even the tonal shift in the trailer from the classical MCU approach also impressed many.

It can’t be corroborated now if the fate of our beloved Ant-Man is really bleak. The story might also turn out to be different from our interpretations. It can only be hoped that Kevin Feige hasn’t revealed too much about the upcoming quantum realm madness that’s going to unfold the vast future of The Multiverse Saga.
Everything will be unfolded on Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania that’s going to hit the theaters on February 17, 2023.
