"Looks like we're getting b**ch Alba today": Jensen Ackles Said He Was Brutally 'Bullied' by Jessica Alba in 'Dark Angel'

Jensen Ackles, star of the Fox sci-fi series Dark Angel, has spoken candidly about his time there and stated that he does not have happy recollections of working with Jessica Alba. On an episode of the podcast Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum, called her “horrible to work with.”

Ackles is an American actor, director, and producer, best known for portraying Dean Winchester in Supernatural. Meanwhile, Alba is an American actress and businesswoman known for starring in films such as Honey, Fantastic Four, and Little Fockers. The two co-starred in the TV series Dark Angel before Ackles’ portrayal of Winchester and before Alba appeared on the big screen.

Jensen Ackles Claimed Jessica Alba was ‘horrible’ on the Dark Angel Set

Jensen Ackles, who portrayed twins Ben and Alec in the series, opened up about what working with Alba was really like. In an episode of the Inside of You podcast (via TooFab), Ackles shocked viewers by being open about his tense working relationship with Jessica Alba. Ackles was frank in his assessment of Alba, saying that he had even told her so to her face.

“No, she was horrible. I told this to her face. I was just kind of, I was the new kid on the block and I got picked on by the lead. Like the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do. She had it out for me. It wasn’t that she didn’t like me. She was like, ‘Oh here’s the pretty boy the network brought in for more window dressing because that’s what we need.’ So I was just like, ‘Oh, looks like we’re getting b***h Alba today, everybody hang onto your nuts.’ So it was that kind of relationship, but she didn’t make it easy on me.”

Jensen Ackles claimed that he even told friends: ‘I felt like I’m getting bullied here’.

He said that after that he made the decision to “fight fire with fire” and returned her barbs in kind, which he said “built mutual respect” between them.

Jensen Ackles and His Relationship with Jessica Alba

They spent time together off-set, according to Ackles, and their connection “did build some mutual respect.” Alba even made sure she was there for him on a particularly difficult day in his personal life, he added.

“My grandfather died while I was shooting and she literally just walked into my trailer and held me for half an hour,” he said. “So it was that kind of a relationship. And again, if she walked in [now] we’d be all hugs. But she didn’t make it easy on me on set.”

“I love Jess, which I know kind of contradicts what I just said,” Ackles continued. “She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show. She was young, she was in a relationship with [co-star Michael Weatherly], and that was rocky and causing some undue stress, I believe, on set. I was the new kid on the block, and I got picked on by the lead.”

Ackles said that his relationship with Alba was “the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do,” adding, “She had it out for me… It wasn’t that she didn’t like me. She just was like, ‘Oh, here’s the pretty boy that the network brought in for some more window dressing because that’s what we all need.’

On Dark Angel, Alba, and Ackles were both still very inexperienced and young in the industry; and it is probable that their working relationship would be very different today.
