Lies of P – Everything You Need to Know About Preload And Release

Lies of P is an exciting upcoming Soulslike title from NeoWiz Games, which is set to release on September 19th for all players. Although the game may have some major competition, going against Mortal Kombat 1 and Starfield this month, it has certainly made a name for itself in the gaming community.

When Lies of P first arrived on the video game scene at Gamescom 2022, it made major waves among attendees. In fact, it won three different awards while at the event, which include: “Best Role-Playing game,” “Best Action Adventure Game,” and “Most Wanted Sony PlayStation Game.”

Its presence was a major win and the title stunned audiences with its performance. This year, Lies of P returned to Gamescom and was once again a huge success. Gamers were treated to an epic trailer with in-game footage, just a few weeks before launch.

If you are one of the many fans excited for the release of Lies of P, then you should know some of the important information that comes with its release. 

When it comes to PlayStation users, if you pre-ordered the Standard Edition of Lies of P, you will be able to pre-load the title on September 17th. This is two days before the official release window, which was mentioned above.

However, if you pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition version, then you will be able to pre-load on September 14th, and experience early access two days later on September 16th. The total size of the PlayStation 4 game will be 29GB and 34GB for the PlayStation 5.

Xbox users excited for the game will be happy to know they might have access to pre-loading even sooner. Since Lies of P is launching to Xbox Game Pass on day one, gamers can already go ahead and pre-load the title to their console. Then, when September 19th rolls around, they will have immediate access and can start playing the highly anticipated RPG.

However, Xbox players who are not members of the subscription service will be held to the same release times as PlayStation, depending on the version they pre-ordered.

Lies of P is an intriguing new take on the legendary, Adventures of Pinocchio, written by Carlo Collodi in 1883. It has been directed by Choi Ji-Won and was built using Unreal Engine 4. The player will control Pinocchio as he goes in search of his master, Geppetto, and utilizes a variety of weapons and skills to achieve that end. Since the combat is inspired by other Soulslike titles, gamers can expect an extremely challenging experience.

One of the interesting aspects of this upcoming game, is that it uses a “lying system.” This feature will lead players to a variety of decisions that will ultimately impact the outcome of their story. In fact, depending on how you play, there are three different endings which can be reached.

This appears to lend to the RPG aspect of the title, and will certainly provide a level of replayability. The lies you tell can also be used as weapons, and it has been confirmed the character will have the same iconic nose growth that has always been associated with his dishonesty. This is a unique method of storytelling for Pinocchio and will certainly be a whole new way to experience the famous puppet.
