Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, & More Join Liam Neeson In Marlowe
If you’re wondering what the movie is about, let me shed some light. When private detective Philip Marlowe (Neeson) is hired to find the ex-lover of a glamorous heiress, it appears to be an easy case. However, Marlowe soon finds himself in the underbelly of Hollywood’s film industry, unsuspecting drawn into the crosshairs of a legendary Hollywood actress and her provocative, ambitious daughter. Now, Neeson is not alone as many talented actors have joined the cast.
Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alan Cumming, Danny Huston, Ian Hart and Colm Meaney are confirmed as now. William Monahan (The Departed) is penning the script and is based on the novel The Black-Eyed Blonde by John Banville. Talking about the director, the Oscar winner Neil Jordan (The Crying Game) is happily on board. Such a powerful duo behind the camera will tend to do the magic.
What Will The New Additions To The Cast Play?
Kruger will play Clare Cavendish, femme-fatale instigator of the plot. She inherits her charm from her mother Dorothy Cavendish, played by Oscar-winner Jessica Lange. Hart is playing detective Joe Green, Colm Meaney plays Bernie Ohls, and Danny Houston will play Floyd Hanson who is the manager of the country club. Akinnuoye will play Cedric, and Cumming will play the sharply-dressed gangster Lou Hendricks.
