When DiCaprio was asked how was his experience when he was filming a steamy scene with Hammer, the actor said it was just acting. The Shutter Island actor also explained that in real life it is really difficult for him to get intimate with men. While talking about the kissing scene, the 48-year-old actor said,
“That’s just acting, you know what I mean? But as far as the kissing stuff, that’s really hard for me, I’m not kidding. But I’ve faced the fact that I’m gonna have to do it, and I’m gonna do it because I supposedly loved the guy.”
In another interview, the actor explained,
“These are the things we do as actors I was in character. Clint was very clear, saying, ‘I want you guys to beat each other up first, I want as much blood as possible, and I want you to grab each other as if you want to kill each other and then it will happen.'”
When the Inception actor was questioned about his favorite on-screen kissing partner in 2004, he mentioned his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet. DiCaprio gave people the response that they were expecting and the conversations about their incredible chemistry were reignited.
