Daredevil: Born Again will have two parts
The upcoming series has been highly awaited by the die-hard fans of the Netflix series Daredevil. The show went on for three series until it got canceled in 2018. The talks about the revival of the series started when Daredevil made an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
The talks about the new show became more prominent when the Netflix series including Daredevil and a limited series, The Defenders, moved to Disney+. The news was revealed in May that a new Daredevil series was in the works, and it would be created by Covert Affairs creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord.
Earlier it was revealed that season one of the show will release in 2024 and would consist of 24 episodes. However, as per the recent updates, there will be two series comprising nine episodes like Henry Cavill’s The Witcher series.
A tweet read,
“‘DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN’ will reportedly have 2 parts (consisting of 9 episodes each – similar to ‘ANDOR’).
The arcs will be very dark and mature in a tone similar to the Netflix version and seemingly aiming towards TV-MA rating.”
The details of the plot are not disclosed yet, but it will be on a dark theme.
About Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again series
In the upcoming series based on Marvel Comics, Charlie Cox reprises his role as Matt Murdock or Daredevil. The superhero is an attorney by day and a crime fighter by night. The star cast includes Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Michael Gandolfini, and Sandrine Holt. The series began development in 2022, and the title was revealed in July. The production started in March 2023 in New York.
In a conversation with Newsweek, D’Onofrio revealed that Marvel Studios is working on the second season already,
“By the second season, there are gigantic, gigantic payoffs—in the first season, too, but I can’t say much about that—but the fans are gonna really get what they want. It’s really quite cool to be doing it. We’ve only just started shooting. I think we’re a couple of weeks in, and the show is going to be very, very different than the Netflix show, and it’s so exciting because what we’re doing is quite something.”
Cox will also reprise the role for Disney+’s upcoming series Echo, which will release next year. He will also give voice in the new animated series Spider-Man: Freshman Year.
