While speaking with Variety, Ke Huy Quan opened up about his insecurities about his future in Hollywood and expressed that the actor was nervous about his future in Hollywood. Following his problems, the actor shared that the Tár star Cate Blanchett came forward to calm him during an event and shared great advice for his next chapter in the realm of acting. He said,
“I attended an event recently and sat next to Cate Blanchett. I told her that I don’t know what I’m going to do next, but I feel I have a responsibility to do something good, and that I don’t want to disappoint all the people that have supported me. And she said, ‘Just go with your heart and be irresponsible: Don’t worry about what other people think. Choose something that you believe in, choose something that you love, and things will work out.'”
After his interaction with Blanchett, it seems that the actor is ready to take his next stride in the industry and is no longer interested in focusing on his struggling days.
Ke Huy Quan is ready to move forward from his past
Despite not being able to garner any substantial roles for years after working with Spielberg in two movies, Ke Huy Quan expressed that he doesn’t blame anyone for his initial failures. The Goonies actor also shared that he is ready to leave his past behind and move forward to his next chapter. He said,
“I don’t want to look at the past and say, ‘Oh, my God, how bad it was!’ I’d rather focus on the present and moving forward. A lot has changed.”
