The actor will no longer be a part of the film adaptation of Walter Mosley’s novel The Man in My Basement by Protagonist Pictures. Moreover, Majors has also been removed from an advertising campaign for the Texas Rangers baseball team and the unannounced Otis Redding biopic.
The actor has also been abandoned by both his management company, Entertainment 360, and his public relations firm, The Lede Company, in the wake of recent domestic violence allegations. These allegations stem from an incident on March 25 in New York City involving a 30-year-old woman who was reportedly hospitalized with minor injuries. Majors is scheduled to appear in court on May 8, having been charged by the New York City District Attorney.
Before his arrest in New York City, Jonathan Majors enjoyed a successful year in Hollywood. His contributions to films such as Creed III and the new Ant-Man significantly influenced their combined worldwide box office gross of $745 million.
