A little schoolgirl asked help from Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp to form a mutiny

The sweet little incident happened in 2010 when Johnny Depp was shooting for his upcoming film Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The actor received a letter from a nine-year-old Beatrice Delap, who wanted to organize a mutiny against her teachers. Hence she sent a letter to the best aide for the mutiny Jack Sparrow.

 The letter read,

“Captain Jack Sparrow, at Meridian primary school, we are a bunch of budding young pirates. Normally we’re a right handful but, we’re having trouble mutinying against the teachers. We’d love it if you could come and help. From Beatrice Delap, aged nine, a budding pirate.”

Beatrice sent the letter when she found out he was filming an installment of Pirates Of The Caribbean at the Old Royal Naval College, located near the school.

Johnny Depp surprised the 9-year-old as Jack Sparrow  from Pirates of the Caribbean

To Beatrice Delap’s surprise, Johnny Depp turned up at her school in Greenwich, in his pirate uniform along with four other cast members. He walked into the school hall and showed the letter to everyone.

Beatrice Delap shared with Evening Standard,

“Then Johnny Depp walked in dressed as Captain Jack. There were gasps and screams. He pulled the letter out of his pocket and said he was going to frame it. Then he called me down and gave me a hug.”

She recalled,

“He said the pirates were going to take over the school and only eat candy, and our teeth would turn black and fall out. But he said we shouldn’t mutiny against the teachers because there were police outside, and we might get into trouble.”

He was there in the school for 15 minutes as he danced for the kids, along with other cast members.

The naval college was used as a set for Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The movie was released in 2011 and featured Depp and Penelope Cruz in lead roles.
