The DC Universe is undergoing a lot of change with James Gunn’s guidance. Not only will there be old characters returning, but newer ones will be introduced. The next eight to nine years for the franchise could be promising under the leadership of Gunn and Peter Safran. A few of the upcoming projects are to be announced this month and that will set off an entirely new era for the DCU.
Amongst these various unnamed projects, there may be a slight possibility that the franchise might be welcoming The Question. The only confirmed project for the DCU at the moment in the newer slate is the Superman movie, however, the possibility of what is to come is endless.
James Gunn Hints The Question Being A Part Of The DCU Soon
In a recent development, James Gunn liked a post about The Question possibly joining the DCU. While there is no confirmation of this, the possibility still remains. This is especially considering that the announcement of various new TV shows and movies is about to happen. The tweet mainly stated that the DCU would be a solid success if there were to be a live-action version of The Question. Unexpectedly, Gunn liked the post.
Lately, the co-CEO has been filtering out rumors that may be false and clarifying everything for the fans. From scrapping movies to letting go of actors, rumors had been flying around social media and James Gunn himself had been debunking a fair share of them. So to see him like a post suggesting the involvement of The Question, it could very well be a hint as to perhaps seeing the character in future DCU projects. Not only has this given hope to fans, but it has also provided a sense of security in order to prepare for what could be almost an entire decade worth of planning within the franchise.
Who Is The Question?
Vic Sage is a member of the Justice League and an investigative reporter by day. He is said to be the vigilante of Hub City and also was taught under the guidance of Lady Shiva. He then mentored Renee Montoya to take over his position. In some versions, he was also said to be a wild conspiracy theorist.
Montoya’s version of the character has already made her DCU debut with Birds of Prey. However, Sage’s version is yet to be explored. He was introduced as a minor character in the Blue Beetle comics but was then taken up to his own comic book series and became a prominent hero.
