For Arnold Schwarzenegger, his Terminator film series journey started with director James Cameron. The 68-year-old filmmaker directed the first two parts of the action/sci-fi movie. But when the third part was being made, the director was replaced by Jonathan Mostow. The 75-year-old actor wasn’t ready to work under anybody else except Cameron.
During an interview, Schwarzenegger opened up about his conversation with the Titanic director. The director suggested the actor charge an excessive amount of money to star in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was released on 25 July 2003. Arnold Schwarzenegger had already convinced fans that no other actor can play the role of Terminator better than him. For the third installment of the action film series, the makers of the Terminator series hired Mostow as the director of the movie. Soon when the Twins actor heard about James Cameron being replaced by Mostow, he wasn’t ready to work in the film series, that made him a huge star.
During an interview, Schwarzenegger recalled his conversation with the Avatar director. The True Lies actor said that Cameron suggested he demand a handsome amount to star in the film. The 75-year-old actor said that the director said, “Just do it and ask for a s*it-load of money.” And he also further added that Cameron said, “Take the money and run.” The Ghosts of the Abyss director explained to The Terminator actor that the lead character of the sci-fi/action movie belongs to him as much as it does to the makers.

Every Terminator fan might remember the iconic scene from the movie, when the Fubar actor says, “I’ll be back” at the police station. In his documentary, Schwarzenegger opened up about how his suggestion to change the “I’ll be back” line made Cameron lose his cool on the actor. While talking about the incident, the actor Predator actor said,
“He said, ‘Are you the writer? And I said, ‘No,’ and he said, ‘Well, don’t tell me how to f**king write.’ It became the most quoted movie line, I think, in the history of motion pictures. So this just shows to you who was right and who was wrong.”

Cameron, who was also the co-writer of the movie, didn’t make any changes as per the lead actor’s suggestion and kept the line the way he imagined it to be. Even today people remember the scene as it was one of the most thrilling moments from the movie.
