Popularly known for her portrayal of C. J. Parker in Baywatch, Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story in her upcoming Netflix series, Pamela: A Love Story. With this show, the Baywatch star has taken the responsibility to share her own story. She also did not hesitate to call out the makers of the 2022 Hulu miniseries, Pam & Tommy. The biographical miniseries focused on her relationship with her ex-husband Tommy Lee and her leaked s*x tape.
However, Anderson doesn’t seem too impressed with the show and has claimed that she never watched it. And now that she is all set to share her story herself, the Barb Wire star wants miniseries producers to apologize to her.
Pamela Anderson Criticizes Creators of Pam & Tommy
The 2022 Hulu series, Pam & Tommy, focused on Pamela Anderson’s three years marriage to Tommy Lee. The miniseries also focuses on the leaked s*x tape of Anderson with her ex-husband. The show went on score 10 Emmy nominations and triggered the conversation once again.
However, the Raw Justice star is not happy with the fact that the creators of the show did not prefer consulting her before moving ahead with it. And she talked about the series during her interview with Variety.
Criticizing for making a series that reignited some of her worst memories for her, Anderson called the makers of the show “a*sholes.” She said that the makers of Pam & Tommy still owe a public apology to her. She described the miniseries as “salt on the wound” before saying, “You still owe me a public apology.”
The actor-model also said that she has not watched the series, and she doesn’t plan on watching it in the future as well. However, she was still bound to get a few glimpses of the cast of Pam & Tommy through billboards. Pamela Anderson said it all looked like a “Halloween costume” to her.
Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee got married in February 1995. She reportedly only knew the Mötley Crüe drummer for four days before the wedding. They have two sons together, Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger. Her ex-husband, Lee was also accused of abusing Anderson. Anderson and Lee divorced in 1998.
Pamela Anderson Has No Grudge Against Lily James And Sebastian Stan
Although the Snapdragon star has a lot of complaints from the makers of Pam & Tommy, she has no grudge against the cast of the series. The Hulu series stars Sebastian Stan and Lily James in the lead roles of Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson, respectively.
And Anderson said that the Cinderella star was just doing her job and she is not offended by it. But she still claimed that it’s hard to portray someone onscreen, without knowing the whole narrative.
She said, “I’ve got nothing against Lily James. I think that she’s a beautiful girl and she was just doing the job.” However, the idea of having a series based on a specific time period in her life is what felt “crushing” to her.
Anderson clarified that she does not want any tension between her and Lily James, saying that she wants to invite her to the premiere of Pamela: A Love Story. “I said to Netflix, ‘I’d love to invite Lily to the premiere of the movie,” she said during her interview. Other than the Netflix series, Anderson is also working on her new memoir, Love, Pamela, which is set to release on 31 January 2023.
