With 9 seasons of The Office produced and uploaded in over eight years, the show has been gaining a lot of popularity among youngsters for its unique satirical rom-com theme. While fans love the cringe-comedy, what they seem to find more amusing is the off-screen romantic relationship that the NBC sitcom star Rashida Jones has with her ex-boyfriend and MCU star John Krasinski.
Even though the co-stars have been constantly denying all rumors of any chemistry between them, their entrance at the season finale afterparty of Saturday Night Live said otherwise.
Rashida Jones Speaks Highly of Ex-Boyfriend John Krasinski
During the eight years of its airing worldwide, The Office became a superhit TV show and the ultimate go-to for satirical drama, and also a place for ex-lovers to be reunited again. Through the romantic sitcom, Rashida Jones found her way back to her former boyfriend and Marvel star John Krasinski by playing his on-screen girlfriend.
However, although the pair have been denying all romance rumors between them ever since their breakup, their entrance to the after party for the Saturday Night Live season finale stated otherwise as both Krasinski and Jones were seen holding hands. And if that wasn’t enough, The Office actress also went ahead to praise her ex-boyfriend in an interview, saying,
“It’s not very often you can work with an ex-boyfriend so easily. He’s fantastic; really skillful, honest, and direct.”
Along with this, inside sources also claim that both Rashida Jones and John Krasinski had been going around telling their friends that they were back together.
Rashida Jones Played the On-Screen Lover of John Krasinski
A little before getting cast in The Office for roleplaying Karen, Rashida Jones and John Krasinski were reportedly in a relationship, though not much has been said by either of the co-stars. However, the coupled called it off before Jones auditioned for the role.
In the satirical sitcom, Jones roleplayed Karen, who is smitten by Jim, [played by Krasinski] and ends up meddling in between the much-loved Jim-Pam couple, forming a love triangle. While Jones feared fans ‘egging’ her house, she also admitted to enjoying filming with her ex-beau.
Furthermore, Rashida Jones called John Krasinski one of her ‘biggest cheerleaders’, adding sparks to the already igniting rumors. Adding up to that, Krasinski reportedly cast Jones in His $33K movie, Brief Interviews with Hideous Men. Even though all these rumors and hints all point to one thing, the co-stars are yet to confirm it.
