Zendaya is one actress who almost every single person fawns over. As an actress, she has displayed her talent almost flawlessly no matter what project she takes up. Whether it is for an adult audience, one that is younger, or one which just so happens to be in the middle, she is not someone who has limited talent.
She has her name in some of the biggest movies and shows, making her a superstar both in film and television. As a successful actress, the list of franchises she has starred in only grows. From the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the Dune franchise, she only continues to excel in her career. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is one film that received massive praise and the sequel has already made quite a great number of fans giddy.
Zendaya’s Dune Sequel Is Much Better Than The First Film
Zendaya has been gearing up for one project after another. Dune 2 has been attracting a good amount of fans. The first movie managed to turn the book into a great live-action film. The way the first film ended, fans had been desperately waiting for the sequel to come out. Now, Rebecca Ferguson has given her thoughts on how the film has turned out to be.
“Number one is phenomenal and big and grandiose, and then you go close-ups and the imagery and the acting. Yeah, it’s all great. It’s f**king nothing compared to number two. Number two, it’s like a f**king gut punch. It’s unreal.”
According to the Mission: Impossible star, the sequel is much better than the first film and the way it has been filmed will absolutely grab the audience unexpectedly. Despite not having seen the movie, the footage alone has been enough to mesmerize her beyond compare. The way it has been made is already making the cast jump in excitement.
Rebecca Ferguson Was Not Interested In Dune Initially
Rebecca Ferguson was not very keen on playing Lady Jessica when Denis Villeneuve first offered the role to her. According to her, the role was far too repetitive and she did not want to be typecasted as a poised actress.
“You want me to be regal and poised and ask me to do a role that I have played so many times before? I would literally be a teapot for you, but I don’t think that’s the role for me, dude.”
To counter her dismay, the director later expanded her character so that she had more depth and was not as two dimensional to appear. After realizing that there was more to Lady Jessica than what her prejudice provided, the actress immediately decided to come back to the film and is now more than happy to be a part of it.
Dune 2 will be available to watch in theatres from 3rd November 2023.
