Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling has really taken the direction of the actor/director’s life in a new way. The director’s romance with the movie’s lead Harry Styles got global recognition right after the viral photos of the duo went public.
The relationship lasted for almost 2 years, although the former couple attempted their best to keep the news away from the public. The love between the stars evaporated, resulting in the eventual split. As stated in many reports, the duo moved on to different things in life after parting ways.
Olivia Wilde’s Composure in Life
Olivia Wilde admitted having a hard time on several occasions but she pierce through it as she has found composure in her life. “It’s hard, it’s hard sometimes,” Wilde said on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. The actor/director feels lucky to be alive, as the world has far too severe issues to deal with her troubles seem pretty minor compared to that.
“But in the end of the day, like, I’m so lucky, like, I’m so lucky and there’s people dealing with so many really hard things. Like, the people of Jackson, Mississippi don’t have water. There’s people everywhere dealing with like, real health crises. And you know, my stuff is out there, but I’m alive and my kids are alive and that’s what gets me through. I remind myself of that every single day,” Wilde said.
Also, Wilde revealed that not being on the internet helped her through life. “And like I said, like once you stop trying to control the narrative, I mean, I’m not on the internet,” she told Clarkson. Wilde draws inspiration from the happy people around her and is more keen on focusing on what’s real in a trusted circle of friends.
Olivia Wilde’s Kids Are Her Priority
Moving on from a split in a relationship is tough. But the tragedy after the break-up with the MCU star Harry Styles curtailed when she looked back to her life and her kids. Also being a single parent is tough. “You know, it’s tough,” Wilde said. “I think reshaping a family is tricky,” she added.
“And the one benefit is, it’s allowed for some really deep conversations with my kids, like about emotions and about happiness and about what family means and love. It’s actually allowed me to get to know them in a different way and my priority is them. That’s what it is. As long as they’re happy and they’re healthy then… My ex and I, we agree on that, they are everything to us. I think that there’s so many families who are blended in different shapes.”
But the trick, Wilde stated, is surrounding them with so much love. But another tricky part is because “we’re not doing it in private.” Wilde gave up on correcting the tabloids and gossip and found it more peaceful not to control their narrative, rather she’s dedicating her life to focusing on her kids and career.
