After the release of The Flash and Blue Beetle earlier this year and their mediocre performances, fans are geared up for DC’s next releases. While the James Gunn-helmed superhero universe has a lot in store for fans including much-anticipated sequels of two different movies, fans haven’t been feeling it lately.

However, the majority did express their excitement over an upcoming movie and it is neither Robert Pattinson’s The Batman 2 nor Jason Momoa’s Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom but Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker: Folie À Deux. Even though both the movies are much-awaited sequels fans choosing another of DC’s upcoming releases is hardly surprising seeing the recent track record of movies at the box office.

Lately, DC hasn’t been able to hit it home with its latest releases and has been witnessing disappointing box-office results. However, things are looking up for the superhero verse as it has two much-awaited sequels in line, Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom as well as Robert Pattinson‘s The Batman 2.

Even though Aquaman 2 will be released this year on December 20, fans expressed that they are more excited to watch Joaquin Phoenix‘s Joker: Folie À Deux, which is due to release on October 4, 2024. Many fans expressed their excitement to witness the popular villain’s crazy journey on Twitter/X.

While certain people might find it surprising it isn’t shocking since the sequel of Aquaman has been under fans’ scrutiny for a while now. First, it was the decision to recast Amber Heard in the movie that made fans disappointed, now it is the news of multiple reshoots

Joker: Folie À Deux: What Do We Know About It

Joker: Folie À Deux has already completed its filming and will have Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role of Arthur Fleck. Furthermore, it will also feature Lady Gaga making her debut as Harley Quinn. Releasing next year, its title stands for the phrase ‘madness of two’, which might be referring to Joker and Quinn.

While the details of the plot haven’t been revealed yet. The first movie witnessed Fleck’s journey of transforming into a villainous killer from an ordinary citizen, it is unknown what ‘role’ he would take on in the sequel.

Joker: Folie À Deux will be in theatres on October 4, 2024.
