The dauntless Seth Rogen is ready and all set for his upcoming cartoon masterpiece, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. And thanks to his immense success, fans are already hoping he’ll contribute some of his mastermind ideas to save the Marvel and DC universes.

But the versatile star has different plans for himself. Denying to work with the multi-billionaire franchises anytime soon, Rogen has revealed the reason behind his rejection. When asked in an interview about what’s stopping him from joining MCU and DCEU, he said,

“Honestly, probably fear. [laughs] We [Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg] really have a pretty specific way we work; me and Evan have been writers for 20 years at this point. It’s a fear of the process, honestly. And I say that knowing nothing about the process. There are a lot of Marvel things I love. It’s mostly a fear of how would we plug into the system they have in place, which seems like a very good system, and a system that serves them very well. But is it a system that we would ultimately get really frustrated with?”

So he fears that he’ll be controlled and the movies that will be produced won’t really have his touch in them, despite bearing his name with them. No doubt Seth Rogen is quietly one of the most successful producers of all time.

In the interview, Rogen also went ahead to share his experience while directing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and revealed why he enjoyed filming the movie. He said,

“What’s nice about [Mutant Mayhem] is that we’re the producers of this. So we dictated the system, and we [Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg] dictated the process in a lot of ways. And that’s what’s also appealing for us about The Boys and the other bigger franchise-y type things we’ve done, is that we are creating the infrastructure and process for them, not plugging into someone else’s infrastructure and process. We’re control freaks!”

Judging from the immense success that the TV shows The Boys and Invincible brought with them receiving an amazing response from the audience and critics alike, fans are sure that Seth Rogen’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adaptation too will be as remarkable as ever.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is set to release on the big screens on 3rd August 2023.
