Sharon Stone Is Upset About Kim Kardashian’s American Horror Story Casting
Oscar-nominated actor, Sharon Stone expressed her opinion on Kim Kardashian‘s casting announcement for American Horror Story. The popular series is set to welcome the reality star to the cast, where she will appear alongside Emma Roberts in the upcoming season.
While many fans are eager to see Kardashian’s performance, some Hollywood celebrities have expressed their displeasure with the choice to cast her. In a comment on Access Hollywood’s Instagram post, Stone said that acting is a skill that necessitates dedication and hard work.
“Well … you know … acting. It may not be brain surgery but we do treasure our art. We studied, we suffered, we do suffer for it. Ten thousand hours; it’s a thing.”
The comments were made two days after Lupone slammed the 42-year-old American media personality on April 23 while appearing on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.
During her career in the entertainment industry, Kardashian has had a few small roles in movies and television shows like How I Met Your Mother, Last Man Standing, Drop Dead Diva, and Disaster Movie.
Patti Lupone Slammed Kim Kardashian’s Lack Of Acting Experience
During a Q&A segment on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Patti Lupone, who starred in two seasons of American Horror Story, expressed her dissatisfaction with Kim Kardashian’s casting. She complained that it bothered her when Kanye West’s ex-wife, who has little acting experience, was chosen for a role.
When host Andy Cohen questioned if she had an opinion on the SKIMS mogul joining the horror anthology series, she grunted and said: “Yes, I do,”
Later, the 55-year-old television producer asked: “You don’t like it, do you?”
The 74-year-old actress-singer reacted as: “No, I don’t.”
By accepting the role, Kim Kardashian, according to Lupone, was robbing seasoned actors of their chance to play the part:
“Excuse me, Kim. What are you doing with your life?”
On April 10, Kardashian shared a teaser video for the series along with an Instagram announcement of her casting. Although she has made minor film and television appearances, this will be her first significant acting position.
The plot of American Horror Story: Delicate is based on a novel. Since the book has not been released yet, that does not really give anyone a hint about the plot. The novel, titled Delicate Condition, is written by Danielle Valentine.
The release date has not yet been announced, but in the interim, you can watch season 11, American Horror Story: NYC, which is streaming on Hulu.
