DC brought its superhero team, Justice League on screen through Zack Snyder’s 2017 film. The superhero team consisted of Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and the Flash. While fans were expecting to see the team assemble once again after James Gunn took over as the co-CEO of DC Studios, it did not go as they expected.

Will Justice League Get Back Together?

Henry Cavill’s departure from the DC and the cancellation of Wonder Woman have left fans wondering if they will see Justice League back together. Recent reports have also speculated that the studio could recast Ben Affleck’s Batman as well. While Jason Momoa is expected to remain in the cinematic universe, his role is still not confirmed.

The Flash could also be the last time Ezra Miller portrays Barry Allen. And with James Gunn planning to start off DCU with a new Superman movie, fans are not sure what to expect from the DCU. All the updates have led Snyderverse fans to believe that they will never see these superheroes again.

And these changes are not limited to films only. James Gunn is also closely working with DC Publishing and Jim Lee. Earlier reports claimed that the co-CEO wants to introduce new stories in comics and also wants reprints of already published comics.

DC Disbanded Justice League

The Australian comic book writer Tom Taylor shared that Justice League has disbanded. The comic book creator shared that it is time to introduce a new superhero team in DC Comics. He also shared that he is teaming up with one of the greatest artists to work on this new team, “TITANS!”

Tom Taylor would be joined by Nicola Scott in assembling the team. The new series is expected to follow up on the events of  Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths and Nightwing #100. The superhero lineup will include Nightwing, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, the Flash, Donna Troy, and Beast Boy.

This could be one of the changes planned by the new CEO of DC Studios. James Gunn’s new plan is expected to be years long. However, Gunn has said that he would not be revealing his whole plan at once.

The Suicide Squad director said that he would only release the first slate of his plans which could include only a few projects of the new DCU. One of the confirmed projects of James Gunn’s new DCU is considered to be the Superman reboot, as the filmmaker said that he is planning to cast a younger actor in the role.

Earlier, he said that he would reveal the DCU slate in January. But Gunn has yet not revealed its plan so far with less than a week remaining in the month.

Justice League is available to stream on HBO Max.
