Daniel Radcliffe is most prominently known for his role as the titular character in the Harry Potter franchise. The actor has done various roles after that but none managed to bring him fame as heavily as J.K. Rowling’s work did. The movies had a lot of work put in by every actor and they all had their likes and dislikes. Many enjoyed certain things while others did not.
This is common to see in various big-name franchises. Especially when the cast becomes close to each other. There can be things the audiences and fans enjoy heartily but the actors involved in the making of it do not. Such was the case with some of the most loved sequences in the iconic franchise.
Quidditch Was Not Daniel Radcliffe’s Favorite
Quidditch might as well be one of the most iconic sports in fictional worlds. The sport has been loved by fans throughout their childhood and many might have even aspired to be a part of it sometime in their childhood.
“Quidditch is right up there with the least fun things I’ve done on Harry Potter, certainly,” the actor added. “It’s not a pleasant experience, it does hurt quite a lot, and it’s not something I would rush back to.”
No matter how much the game was liked outside the set, Daniel Radcliffe was not fond of it at all. He found it to be uncomfortable and even stated that it hurt. To be fair, sitting on a broomstick for long hours can get uncomfortable. Radcliffe even admitted that if given the option, he would choose not to go back and play Quidditch because of the discomfort it caused him in the many years he portrayed the role of Harry Potter. Although, other actors on the set happened to be quite fond of the sport, especially Natalia Tena.
Natalia Tena Was Fond Of Flying On The Broom
Contrary to Daniel Radcliffe’s opinion, Natalia Tena, the actress who portrayed Nymphadora Tonks adored her scenes with a broomstick. All her scenes that had her high up on a broom were quite enjoyable for her.
“You’re in this massive green room, really high up, on this movable [broom], and there’s these two sexy, strong guys blowing wind at you,” the actress stated. “It’s like you’re on a Harley or something.”
Not only was it the fact that she could go high in the air with a green screen, but also that the broom she was put up on could move to a certain extent. The wind on her face completed the experience fully and she compared it to riding a bike.
