It was a notable spy drama series that graced our television screens from 2001 to 2006, and Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner, the show’s leads, were particularly charismatic and talented there. The series, created by J.J. Abrams follows Sydney Bristow, played by Jennifer Garner.
Star Trek director J.J. Abrams in an interview said that the majority did not see Garner fit for the role, but he was determined to cast her as Sydney Bristow, a young CIA operative who balances a double life as a spy and a college student.
What was Bradley Cooper’s First Reaction after Meeting Jennifer Garner?
In the first two seasons of the spy drama Alias, Bradley Cooper had a significant role, and it was there only that he first met Jennifer Garner, with whom he would later form a close friendship. Their friendship has endured since then.
On meeting Garner for the first time, Cooper told GQ that “Do you want a cookie?” was the first thing that the Valentine’s Day actress had said to him.
“She wanted to take care of me, make sure I was okay all the time,” Cooper said.
“The first time I saw her, I was in the production office when we were shooting the pilot, and this girl comes in, glowing. She had just baked cookies, which she was offering to me, and I was like, ‘That is who’s playing Sydney Bristow?’”
Meanwhile, about casting Garner for that aforementioned role, director Abrams said to W Magazine:
“Before we cast her, there were people who questioned: ‘Is she tough enough? Is she s*xy enough?’ Two minutes later she was on the cover of every magazine, and no one was saying those things anymore.”
In the end, the show became a thrilling watch for the audiences, be it for the compelling plot or for the unforgettable chemistry between Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Garner.

“Sign me up,” Garner told. “[I’ll] grab Bradley [Cooper — her former co-star and dear friend] by the scruff of his neck.”
The show was put to an end in 2006 despite gaining a lot of popularity. Since then both Garner and Cooper saw their career growing.
