Buying a giant boat when you’re not completely yourself isn’t the best way to spend your fortune and both Pete Davidson and Scarlett Johansson’s husband Colin Jost have deep regrets about their purchase. Shedding light on the Ferry they bought back last year, Davidson joked about the entire purchase during the premiere of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
However, there has been some interesting development in the story, as the SNL star came forward with his statement about the massive purchase, claiming unlike the Transformers Star he was completely sober.
Colin Jost Confessed He Was Fully Sober When the Deal Went Down
Reflecting on purchasing the Retired Staten Island Ferry for a staggering $280,100 with initial plans of turning it into New York’s hottest club, Colin Jost confessed he was in fact fully himself during the deal. Unlike Pete Davidson, who was high during their plans of purchasing the giant boat, Jost on the other hand was completely sober. Considering it doesn’t seem to be the smartest decision he made, which might also not have set well with his significant other, the SNL star addressed the situation in a comedic fashion, confessing,
“Is it worse that I was actually stone-cold sober when we bought the ferry?”
With the duo struggling to figure out the perfect way to use the 277-foot boat, Pete Davidson gave a more thorough explanation behind his and Jost’s wild purchase, claiming he had no idea.
Pete Davidson Gives an Insight into Their Expensive Purchase
While speaking with Seth Meyers, Pete Davidson gave an insight into how he and Jost came to the conclusion of purchasing this boat. On asked whether the two had previously thought it through before closing the deal, Pete Davidson hilariously claimed that he had no idea. The actor further explained after Colin Jost asked him about his interest in buying this ferry, he just deposited the money without any idea, stating, “now I’m stuck with a f***ing boat”. He explained,
“Yeah we have to ’cause we’re in the hole! Colin called me and he’s like, ‘Hey, can you hop on this call about the ferry?’ And I was like, ‘We’re still doing that thing?!’ He’s like, ‘Yeah. This is pretty serious.’ And it is. I had no idea. I saw a link and sent a deposit and now I’m stuck with a f***ing boat. It’s really funny, dude.”
Although the two have struggled for a while to figure out the proper usage of the giant ferry, it appears Davidson and Jost are now adamant about turning it into a floating party vessel in the coming years.
