God of War Ragnarök was released on 9 November 2022. It is the sequel to the God of War (2018) video game. It follows the journey of Kratos and his son, Atreus, through various perils. The game was highly praised and received several accolades. It was a visual treat for everyone. The gaming community loved playing it. God of War Ragnarök is a PlayStation-exclusive game, meaning the game will only support a PlayStation console.

But the popularity of God of War Ragnarök has led to many questions, including whether it will ever be coming to PC. A video game of God of War Ragnarök‘s scale cannot reach its full potential until it reaches another platform. With such a good story and top-notch animation, fans want it to play on a PC like its prequel.

There is no confirmed news as to whether God of War Ragnarök is coming to PC or not. The fans are speculating it based on a few hints they got from high executives of the game. The co-creator of the God of War Series and the director of God of War (2018), Cory Balrog, gave the fans a hint about the potential PC version of God of War Ragnarök after the 2018 reboot was released on Steam, during an interview with Game Informer.

Cory Balrog said, “I have no idea. Right now, we’re taking it one game at a time, kind of looking at each one and determining, “Okay, is this the best thing?” And we’ll gauge how it does. Do people enjoy it? Did we do it right? Is there anything we did wrong? What can we do better in the future if we do this again? But at the end of the day, ultimately, it’s Sony’s decision.”

He said that they are looking at it one game at a time. There are several PS-exclusive games. Another light of hope for PC gamers is that for the last couple of years, Sony has made several of its exclusives available on Steam. God of War (2018) happens to be one of them. There is also Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part 1, etc.

And last but not least is Jetpack Interactive. Jetpack Interactive was the lead development Studio in bringing God of War (2018) to PC. Their LinkedIn profile says, “continues to work with Sony Santa Monica on the God of War franchise.” It indicates they may be working on a God of War Ragnarök PC version.

God of War (2018) was a significant hit for the PC gamers. After Ragnarök‘s release, fans have been asking for another taste of the latest game. Hermen Hulst, PlayStation Studios Head, had his say on this matter during an YouTube interview with Julien Chieze.

He said,” I think going forward we’ll see at least a year between releases on PlayStation and on the PC platform, possibly with the exception of live service games.”  This might be confirmation of the PC version of God of War Ragnarök. For God of War (2018), gamers had to wait four years to play it on PC. But it won’t be the case for Ragnarök.
