New Fan Theory Suggests Tony Stark Could Return in This Way

Iron Man sacrificed himself for the greater good at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Also, we have seen Spider-Man: No Way Home brought several characters back from the dead, and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man could be next to make his MCU comeback, but in a whole new way, at least according to some fan theories.

The fan theory, which originally surfaced on Reddit by /u/CaptainSpaceWolf13, suggests that Stark will eventually replace the existing artificial intelligence in Spider-Man’s suit. If anyone in the MCU has the technological know-how to carry out such a mission, it would be Stark.

This way he can still be a part of his world and can still help his friends, while technically being gone,” the Reddit user wrote. “To make it even better he could become PP/SM’s new AI.

The theory continued:

This way Tony could still be a central father figure and mentor to Peter, all while taking a back seat to the future MCU while still being important. In the past movies, there has definitely been a deep connection between the two characters and this happening in the future just really makes sense to me.”

Technically, it’s possible that Robert Downey Jr. may return in some form.
