Marvel stars Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal’s relationship has been one of the hot topics of discussion. The relationship was cute, as many expected constant updates from the former couple when they started dating in 2002.
Both the actors were in their early 20s and the relationship, as it was revealed later, was pretty wild. Following their breakup in 2004, Dunst revealed their hot steamy s*xual affairs and the intensity of it.
Kirsten Dunst Revealed Steamy Details of Her Time With Ex Jake Gyllenhaal
Spider-Man’s Mary Jane actor Kirsten Dunst, 41, revealed steamy details of her relationship with ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, who appeared as MCU villain Mysterio in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. Dunst revealed the extent of their wild s*xual relationship and public display of affection.
“We tried to spice things up – we had sex in cars, in the bathroom and even by the sea. The only place we didn’t have the guts to try was in a walkway in a hotel because we thought we might get kicked out if we were caught.”
Despite their wild ride, the relationship ended in just two years. “I’m so young, he’s so young,” Dunst stated of her wish to be single, adding “and I just keep thinking now I need to be on my own.”
Stating the reason for their split, the Melancholia actor revealed that differences in their lifestyle tamed the fire of the relationship. “Jake and I couldn’t last. He’s a stay-at-home boy, and I’m an out-of-town girl.” Of course, Gyllenhaal was “the love of my life. He was, is and always will be… He’s a moron. And that’s what I love about him,” she added. After the breakup, the actor hoped to find a soulmate and get married and live happily ever after.
Kirsten Dunst Found Her Soulmate
Gyllenhaal is reportedly dating Jeanne Cadieu and is yet to settle while Dunst tied the knot with her Fargo co-star Jesse Plemons in July 2022. “He’s my favorite actor—the best I’ve ever worked with,” Dunst said of her husband. Dunst told PorterEdit once,
“I just knew he would be in my life forever. I didn’t know what capacity that would be at the time. When [Fargo] was over, I just missed him terribly. We didn’t get together until a year later. We were both smart enough that we were wondering if the connection was just because we were working together. But it was real.”
Talking about the wedding, Dunst said on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she “just kept getting pregnant and I kind of want to enjoy my wedding.” Further, the actor “just want to be able to drink and have fun. We’ll do it very soon.” Later, appearing on Los Angeles Times podcast The Envelope, the Marie Antoinette actor said that she felt “an immediate connection” with Plemons. It appears Dunst finally found her soulmate as she expected. The duo later appeared in Jane Campion-directed acclaimed Western drama, The Power of the Dog, where they played husband and wife as well.
The Power of the Dog is available to stream on Netflix.
