Sofia Vergara has made a remarkable journey to become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors. After being spotted by a photographer on a beach in Columbia, the actress, 51, began her career in modeling and commercials before attempting acting.
Her relocation to America for better opportunities led to her landing the iconic role of the stunning and witty Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in Modern Family, which catapulted her to stardom in the television industry. The actress, whose first appearance was at the age of 17 in a Pepsi commercial, once sat down with actor-comedian, Kevin Hart for the third season of Peacock’s Hart to Heart to discuss her journey thus far.
Hart caught up with some of his most famous Hollywood friends to speak about their success and life on his show Hart to Heart.
Kevin Hart Got A Hilarious Roasting From Sofia Vergara
Both Sofia Vergara and Kevin Hart are well-known figures in Hollywood for their ability to crack jaw-dropping jokes in both films and television shows. However, they often add humor to mundane situations, as the actress did when she made fun of Hart about their prior careers.
The America’s Got Talent judge made an appearance on a season 3 episode of Hart to Heart, where the two discussed the paths they took to succeed in the entertainment business. At one point, the host brought up the 2004 movie Soul Plane, in which they both starred, and he claimed it altered the course of his acting career.
Vergara, who is never one to turn down an opportunity for a good laugh, could not resist making fun of Hart’s old appearance, saying:
“I didn’t even know who you were until I saw the movie, and I was like, ‘My God, this guy is amazing.’ You were so much more handsome at the time, remember? Younger, fresher. But you’re doing great now.”
Hart looked incredulous at Vergara’s remark, stumbled over his words, and then called the Modern Family alum out for fooling him into thinking that she was about to praise him. He replied:
“Yeah, no, yeah, absolutely. It was weird … I thought you were going like in the space of a compliment. And then it said ‘woo’ — just went down.”
Vergara responded by joking that she had indeed paid him a compliment, and Hart decided to pause by saying:
“Yeah, well, until you said it like … That was when I was younger.”
She then concluded:
“Well, I’m not lying. It’s a fact. You were younger 20 years ago? Yes.”
Kevin Hart’s Response to Mark Wahlberg and Don Cheadle’s Age
In Hollywood, Kevin Hart has made a name for himself as an actor and comedian. Like any other Hollywood celebrity, he also found himself the target of some divisive issues.
In one of these instances, he and Don Cheadle had an awkward conversation on an episode of the Hart to Heart talk show in August 2021. Hart to Heart welcomed Cheadle as its second guest, during which the actor discussed his acting endeavors.
Hart yelled an inappropriate “DAMN” when Cheadle said he was “56 years old”.
The Meteor Man star silently regarded the host before apologizing, clearly embarrassed by his response. Hart also made an attempt to justify what he had “blurted out” by saying it was a thought.
Additionally, the host made an attempt to make it clear that he did not mean it in an other way:
“I didn’t mean it that way. Just understand I didn’t mean it the way it came out.”
Meanwhile, Mark Wahlberg joined the talk show host during the second season. The Get Hard actor attempted to insult his guest for his age once again while discussing their experience. He clarified that he was not intending to refer to Wahlberg as being “old”, but rather, he was merely trying to explain why it had been so long.
The discussion prompted Hart to say:
“As a young guy, trying to achieve the success that you have already achieved.”
But the Uncharted actor did not think twice to call him out, saying:
“Stop f*cking with everybody that’s a little bit older.”
Kevin Hart’s responses seem to have room for improvement.
