Quentin Tarantino is, no doubt, one of the greatest visionaries of all time. An exceptional filmmaker creating outstanding works that never cease to captivate the audience, the renowned-to-be-Hitler-on-sets director has curated some of the finest works of all time.

And that’s the reason why fans were so bent on having Tarantino direct the upcoming DC sequel, Constantine 2. But it seems that fans’ dreams to see the movie directed by the imaginative filmmaker will only remain as dreams, considering an old interview from him that has recently virally resurfaced once again.

With the interview being nearly a year old now, the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood director was asked why he never joined the Marvel or DC Comics flick. To this, he responded by saying,

“You have to be a hired hand to do those things. I’m not a hired hand. I’m not looking for a job.”

Judging from his response, it is more than evident that Quentin Tarantino doesn’t intend on joining the multi-billionaire franchises anytime soon, let alone direct the Keanu Reeves starrer Constantine 2.

The first Constantine movie came nearly two decades ago back in 2005 with Keanu Reeves starring as John Constantine and was met with good financial success all the while receiving immense acclamation with mixed reviews from critics worldwide. But considering how The Matrix star now rules over the audience’s heart, Constantine 2 is expected to bring good luck to the DC Universe.

While the sequel for the 2005 movie had been in talks for years now, it was finally confirmed late last year with Francis Lawrence returning to direct it and Avika Goldsman sitting in the chair of the scriptwriter. Although Reeves is confirmed to reprise his role, the other cast for the movie hasn’t been confirmed yet.

As for the plot scene for the sequel, the filmmaker hasn’t let out any official plot as of now. However, he has claimed that he and Reeves have a lot of ideas up their sleeve for the movie and are hoping to give it their utter best. Yet, keeping the WGA Strike in mind, it’s safe to assume that Constantine 2 can take even 2025 to finally turn up on the big screens.

Rest assured, the movie is confirmed to be approved, and with Keanu Reeves reprising the character of the violent yet occult detective from Liverpool, it is safe to assume that the movie would not be an epic disaster like the recent rest from DC.
