Many a time, there are instances when a certain character just makes an impression on you, and you don’t even know why or how. It can be an actor or an actress that might portray a certain real-life identity with picture-perfect accuracy, or there might be a performance of a different fictional character that would just be out of this world. But as they all say, the show must come to an end, and so must an actor leave their role when it’s over. And the worst part is, it hurts when they say that they won’t be back to play that said character again.
But most of the time, for better or for worse, actors often fake their returns in order to give their fans and audience a surprise.
As of recent, Michael B. Jordan, the actor who played Erik Killmonger in Marvel Studio’s Black Panther took to social media to give a very cryptic message, the kind which might give the fans the aforementioned surprise.
Michael B. Jordan Would Love To Play Killmonger Again.
During a recent interview with ExtraTV, while promoting his upcoming sequel to the Creed franchise, Michael B. Jordan was bombarded with questions about how he worked out such a physique for the upcoming Creed 3 and all the other good stuff, the most obvious question made it’s way to the interviewer’s mouth. Would he reprise his role as Erik Stevens, or as he is popularly known as, Killmonger in the future?

“I don’t know if it’s a possibility, I mean, at one point or another, being able to be in the Marvel Universe was like a dream come true and if there was an opportunity for me to come back, of course, I would. I’m not one of those guys who like ‘oh no, I would never.’ Working with [director Ryan Coogler], what we did on that first project and what Marvel does as a whole is something that, as a fan, as a nerd and geek that I am, I just love to see those movies and those characters come to life.”
Jordan did reprise his Black Panther role as N’Jadaka/Erik “Killmonger” Stevens once, and it was to voice the character in Marvel Studios’ animated What If…? series for Disney+. However, in May 2021 interview, the actor addressed the likelihood of Killmonger returning for the sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, after the character’s death at the end of the 2018 film. But with this recent announcement, fans have gotten their hopes up a bit.

Will We See Michael B. Jordan In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever?
With the MCU exploring new horizons of time travel and expanding its storyline into the multiverse, Marvel Studios has opened a metaphorical universe of possibilities in which the unimaginable can happen. With this cryptic message, fans are in a daze about whether Michael B. Jordan will return as Killmonger in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever or not. But even if he doesn’t in the upcoming sequel, there is still a chance that there can be another version of Erk Stevens out there in this vast multiverse.
We might not know for sure, but we do have a reason to stay hopeful for the future.
