“I’ll never go to Disneyland again!”: X-Men Star Kelsey Grammer Threatens Marvel Studios to Bring Him Back as Beast in Secret Wars After Rumors of Fox-Verse Stars Returning

Avengers: Secret Wars is said to be the project that will make all our dreams and imaginations come true. Just like No Way Home made us nostalgic by bringing back two Spider-Men from the past, Secret Wars is expected to bring back some other characters of the past as well. And the groundwork for that has already begun with the likes of WandaVision and Doctor Strange 2 contributing by bringing some old Fox actors back, and Deadpool 3 getting us ready for the return of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Along with these mutants, we might just get to see the return of the original Beast played by Kelsey Grammer.

Marvel’s Unique Introduction of Mutants

We may get to see our favorite mutants
How Mutants Might Return

While the term “mutants” has already been introduced to us twice so far on Earth-616, we haven’t really seen any of the core X-Men members yet. A couple of Fox’s old X-Men cast members have returned, but Patrick Stewart’s Professor X was a variant on Earth-838, and Evan Peters turned out to be nothing but a “boner” joke. It’ll be interesting to see how Jackman’s Wolverine is handled, but one could safely presume that he’ll be a variant from a different universe. Rumor has it that Marvel will be using the old Fox characters for nostalgia purposes before bringing out the real X-Men mutants that exist on Earth-616. So with that policy, Marvel could even honor Kelsey Grammar’s Beast.

Kelsey Grammar Wants a Comeback

Kelsey Grammer as Beast

Back in X-Men: The Last Stand, Kelsey Grammar was the one who debuted Hank McCoy aka Beast to the big screen. Then, Nicholas Hoult took over as the younger version of the character in the prequels. Even though Grammer’s appearance was short compared to Hoult, many might still prefer him sheerly because of the presence he had on the screen, and the more comic-accurate vibe that came from him. So, what if he returns in Avengers: Secret Wars?

Beast in Secret Wars

Well, even Grammer is interested in something like that. In a recent interview with MovieWeb, he playfully threatened to never go back to Disneyland if he wasn’t brought back as Beast. Here’s what he had to say:

“If they don’t ask me to return to the role of Beast, I’ll never go to Disneyland again. I’d love for them to do that. I want to do that.”

Grammer’s return obviously isn’t confirmed yet. But if Marvel is honoring the past versions of these characters from Fox, then they should definitely allow the 67-year-old actor to return for a short cameo in Secret Wars. Nobody would complain for sure!

After Secret Wars, the MCU could introduce a new Earth-616-based variant of Beast who might go on to join SWORD.

Avengers: Secret Wars is set to release on May 1, 2026, and we should expect plenty of surprises like Kelsey Grammer’s Beast.
